Sylvia

Roberta

This scene is towards the beginning of Danny and The Deep Blue Sea by John Patrick Shanley. Roberta is at the end of her rope. In a last ditch effort to create some type of change in her life, she decides to confide in a man at a bar who looks “just so fucked up he might listen”.

 
 

Eurydice

Written by Sarah Ruhl. This moment takes place at the end of the play. Orpheus travels down to the underworld to find Eurydice, he will only be allowed to guide Eurydice out of the Underworld if he doesn’t look at her. But an impulse overcomes Eurydice when she sees him and she calls out to Orpheus. He turns and as they share a glance, they both understand what it means. Eurydice will not be permitted to follow him out of the Underworld and into the land of the living. They will never be together. She decides to write a letter to his next wife:

 
 

Woman

This moment is from Lungs written by Duncan Macmillan and has been re-imagined as a monologue. The characters (Man and Woman) are processing the news that Woman is pregnant, and finding that it’s quite the thrill.

This piece is written by Sam Shepard from his play titled Cowboy Mouth. Cavale is trying to convince Slim that he has what it takes to be a rockstar.

From Troilus and Cressida by William Shakespeare. This moment takes place in the 3rd Act. Troilus and Cressida are brought together by Pandarus (Cressida's uncle), who pressures them both to quickly tell one another their feelings.
